The Washington Post reports:

An exhibition of more than 50 works by Native American artists goes on view at the D.C. Arts Center this month.

Curated by Native American poet and activist Suzan Shown Harjo, the show is a rare chance to see modern works by Native Americans that don’t necessarily reflect craft traditions, anthropology or history, but instead a viewpoint and a vision for art.

See some of the harrowing pieces show here.
