Essence Magazine covers Environment, Race

I know it’s been harder and harder picking up Essence Magazine lately with its coverage gone Cosmo. But its July issue is suprisingly worth the $4 bucks. In it is a riveting story about one Black town that, as a whole, came down with more cancer cases than the general population, due to contaminated tap water the local government allowed to go unregulated. The white town right next door was spared the toxic flow.

“Troubled Waters” made me furious. And anybody jumping on the Inconvenient Truth wagon owe themselves this read.
