The controversy dates back to early 2005 when a college newspaper reprinted Churchill’s three-year old essay on the attacks on the World Trade Center. I wrote commentary on my blog pudgyindian2.blogspot.com, about Ward Churchill. What this is in my opinion is a kill the messenger event. America is good at that. This is all because he called the suits in the "Two Towers" "little Eichman's," which...they were. Eichman's works killed lotsa folks, and created great suffering and made him and his colleagues lotsa money. That is what the suits do. Bill O'Reilly jumped on this, 3 years after the fact, then it became an all out kill the messenger. You can't kill his message, and Ward will continue to speak out.

Our fellow Indians even jumped on the band wagon. They're mostly pissed about the Mr. X thing, which was indeed a stupid idea to free Leonard Peltier. However, like the bible says (and I'm not a Christian), "Let he without sin cast the first stone."

And don't get me started on "is he or is he not an Indian." I know of Indians who rape children and I don't see any other Indians than the handful I've worked with go after those folks as fiercely as they go after Ward. Even if Ward didn't have a drop of Indian blood in him, it doesn't matter. It is his message that is the important thing.

Every lecture I've seen this man give he talks about Madeline Albright and her saying 500,000 dead Iraqi babies is an acceptable loss. Always a group of stupid white boys get up to try to kill the messenger, and then it turns into a "What About Me?" whine fest.

I wish folks would go after David Lesar with such ferocity as they go after Ward Churchill. I'll leave it up to any readers to find out who David Lesar is, whose decisions kill people daily and creates great suffering in the world.
