David Beckham is “Honorary Black Man”
A book about footballer David Beckham.
Oh gosh. AllAboutRace.com, reported:
According to Gawker, Andrew Morton’s latest tell all entitled Posh & Becks, includes the following passage:Thanks to his taste in extravagant clothes and jewelry, penchant for rap music and his flash lifestyle, the blond footballer should be considered an honorary black man.Oh, well then, we should welcome Sir Elton John post-haste!
But there’s more, as Gawker points out, going ethnic is the ultimate past-time.
“In fact,” Morton writes, “his appeal isn’t just to blacks and whites, but crosses all racial and cultural boundaries.”Best use of “in fact” ever!
For example, the Beckham family was celebrated as gods for a major exhibition of Indian-influenced art fo the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in June 2002. While David was depicted on a throne in a crown and robes as the Hindu deity Shiva, Victoria was the goddess Parvati and Brooklyn was the elephant god Ganesh. While we appreciate Morton’s right to hyperbole, until we see the Shem ha-Mephorash for David Beckham, his appeal will remain confined to idiots, Hindis and stereotypes.

How the hell does whitey think he can say his fellow whitey is an honorary Black man? How much more racist can one be?
And co-opting the culture of India? What the hell is that? These folks are just imperialist racists to the core. At best, institutionally, but honestly, these folks sound a little more overt with their racism.
More and more I get the urge to slap more and more people should I ever meet them. I just added these folks to my imaginary list.
Not that slapping would help, of course. Me, being a Native American, would probably wind up in prison with a lengthy sentence.
If David Beckam actually considers himself as much an honorary black man as the comments of that racist Morton is making, then I would tell this lousy bastard (whom I have no idea who he is) to take his obvious wealth and go down and help the Jena 6, Genarlow Wilson, and Troy Davis.
