Are We Still Watching Nooses?

Today, the Louisiana teen who threatened Jena 6 protesters with a noose hanging from his truck, was sentenced to four months in jail after pleading guilty to a “misdemeanor charge of interfering with the marchers’ federally protected right to travel.”

Almost a year since thousands went to Jena, La. to demand justice for those six young Black men, the media’s attention to nooses has all but disappeared. DiversityInc.’s Noose Watch was on fire in the months right after the rally in Jena, but it seems like it hasn’t been updated in a while.

Unfortunately, it looks like the lynching symbol’s popularity has not waned.

In just the last couple days, workers are being threatened with the hateful knot.

"Another noose has reportedly been found in as many weeks at a downtown construction site. Skanska is the general contracting firm responsible for the construction work at the new Blue Cross Blue Shield building. Thursday Mark Harmon with Skanska gave Newschannel 9 this statement."

Missouri:Black workers: nooses found at Cape plant
"Seven black employees of a Procter & Gamble plant in southeast Missouri's Cape Girardeau have filed discrimination complaints, claiming nooses have been found inside the facility three times since 2006."

I think blacks need to get over it!Blacks were not the only ones hlynched in the past.I think this stupid teen freedom of speech was violated by the goverment and he should file a appeal with the Supreme Court.It should be tossed.
