So, a friend of mine got me hip to these illustrations that were done by a Chinese person raised in Germany. It’s surprising how simple such simple illustrations (when well done) can accurately depict cultural differences in a light and humorous way. I personally like the one of people waiting in line (it’s so true!) and the one of people at a party.

More and more I’m beginning to notice the use and effectiveness of great illustrations especially when it comes to depicting things like differences in earnings, federal spending, and even the effects of public policy and social ills (the NYTimes tends to use them quite often now).

What are your faves?
