Thoughts on Michelle Obama’s Speech

What did you think about Michelle Obama’s speech at the convention last night?

If I had my way there would have been much less Jackie Kennedy and much more Fannie Lou Hamer on that stage. “I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired (click here to listen to audio).” YES!

Read between the lines. Michelle's speech was a modern day "Ain't I a Woman" speech. It's time to stop seeing Black women in simplistic stereotypical terms and notice the nuance...the iron fist in the velvet glove.
