Just wondering if anyone checked the back issues of this paper to see if there was news about the winners after the primaries, or the presidential election 4 years ago.

THE SAME DAY HE IS TAKING HIS OATH THAT NEWSPAPER OUGHT TO BE SHUT DOWN YES SHUT DOWN SHUT IT DOWN AND SHUT IT DOWN NOW! AND IF IT IS NOT SHUT DOWN THEN EVERYONE IN THAT TOWN AND WHO WORKS FOR THAT NEWSPAER SHOULD BE PUT IN JAIL OR ON A FARM SOMEWHERE SO THEY CAN AND SHOULD BE TAUGHT HUMANITY 101.

If Obama doesn't shut this byracial newspaper company down, which I doubt he will, because he is not the type. The people in this community can do that themselves, just by not buying or supporting this news paper company, or give the respect to the employees, no matter who they are. This will put them out of their jobs, and on top of that, the newspaper company will have to fold. I mean there is silly, and then there is just plain old predjudice for no reason but stupidity. They could not be any Christian people in that company. God's children does not act like that. This is an upsetting situation. The newspaper owner is cutting off his nose to spite his face. Any fool knows by publishing the fact that the 1st Black President ever in history, was elected and this would mean more money for that fool, who doesn't realize he is indeed a real fool, which is the worst kind of fool. I am sorry all you people in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. But do something about it!!!!!!!!!!!! now...

WOW. Now someone needs to go back to the previous Presidential Elections and see if they were printed then we will have our answer. Prejudice or not?
This is clearly hatred and not about the money. They company could have racked up on money for tthis historical event. Since they don't want the money I think they should close down and or people should not buy the paper. They can always subscribe to another paper and have it mailed to them if not delivered.

Not to be surprised. Throughout the election "some" thought it reasonable to express thoughts for the "general" public. Each time, they were wrong. It's obvious the fathers of this tabloid haven't a cliue and its their readership who have ultimately been second guessed and short-changed.

This doesn't surprise me. I live in a Columbus, OH suburb (Obama won this county in the election). But, BOTH of this suburb's local papers failed to mention Barack Obama's win at all. We got results on everything from local issues to Congressional races (even races outside of our district) - but not even a tiny paragraph ANYWHERE, in the entirety of either paper, about the presidential race. And the presidential race was called hours before some of our local races/issues. Do I need to mention that the most recent census reports the African-American population in this suburb as 0.3%? Coincidence? And people wonder why I am ashamed to have to call myself white!

side note: In past presidential elections, these newspapers were thrilled to announce the president-elect as the headline.

Did someone say ban a newspaper for not publishing that Obama won the election?
If they do not want to print it that the papers loss. Freedom of speech people!!!
Would i have printed it yes i would but the is privite business we are talking about not public television.

I'm glad he didn't post it as a main article, electing Obama was the worst mistake this country has ever made. Lets see in a couple years if you still admit you voted for Obama.

It is sad to have to deal with ignorance in 2008. No matter what anyone thinks or likes, Barack Obama has been elected President of the United States of America. Those individuals that do not agree to support him or even acknowledge the fact that President-Elect Obama is going to be our 44th president, has the right to move out of the United States of America, where they are free to make their own decisions and move to a third world country with people who would love to trade places with you. It is a sad day for the United States to continue to have to deal with people that don't allow the same opportunities to all people regardless of race, gender, or religious preference. I am in constant prayer for those individuals who have forgotten where our ancestors have immigrated from and that the only people that truly belong in what we call the United States of America belongs to the Native Americans that were here in the U.S. when their land was stolen from them by immigrants. When you realize that we all are relatives of immigrants, you may realize that you are just as Unamerican as your lack of recognizing that the world changes and we are the only country that is suppose to be educated and a free place to live and we don't appreciate any of our freedoms and count them as blessings! God Bless America!!! We need to be a praying country and pray that our country get through this difficult economic time with whomever is the president. The last time I checked, the country or economy have no color because if either did, what would be the color since all of our the past 43 presidents have been of the same race and gender. Look where we are and where we have been, is where we going to be any better? Only God knows and Thank God for his daily guidance, blessings and everlasting life until HE decides our time is up... Let's be thankful for what we have TODAY, because tomorrow is not promised to anyone...

I live in this town. I am very shocked at the Newspaper for not printing this story. I hope everyone stops their subscriptions to this paper. The people have only owned the Sapulpa Herald for a year or two I believe and it is not very good any way. Why waste your money on it. Are they racist I do not know but it sure would look that away. Sapulpa is really a good town to live in. I hate it that these people that own the Sapulpa Herald has given this town a bad name. We are not a hick town. I cannot belive they have now caused this nice town to get such a bad reputation. If anyone is interested in the link to the Newspaper here it is. http://www.sapulpaheraldonline.com/
