Voting in Brooklyn, NY

PS 10 polling place was relatively quiet today compared to PS 9 across Park Slope where hundreds of people lined up early this morning to vote.

More than 10 districts were represented at the Brooklyn school which created some confusion. One woman carrying her toddler said, “I’m so mad at the Board of Elections,” to which a poll work replied, “Don’t worry, it will all work out.” PS 10 parents and kids used the election as an opportunity to raise money for the school. As the crowds of multiracial voters entered and exited the polling place, they were greeted by cupcakes, cookies and more at a “Vote and Eat” bake sale.
