while a student at Antioch College in the late 50's, I had the great privilege of meeting Odetta on several occasions, and also listening to her several concerts at Antioch. I drove her to Dayton airport on one of her visits to our campus, and was so moved by her, I had to stop and not drive until I could pull myself together. She had such power and strength coupled with a remarkable ability to reach right into your heart. She was an incredible individual, and she affected my life greatly. She will be greatly missed.
