The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission charged Sam’s Club, owned by Wal-Mart, for repeatedly harassing Mexican workers. The workers were subjected to overtly racist verbal attacks including being called “wetbacks” while on the job. OHS Online

Can Racism Lead to Depression in Black and Latino Kids?
A recent Rand Institute/Harvard University study suggests that racism leads to depression in Black and Latino elementary-aged kids. The research found that Latino youth who experienced racism were more than three times as likely to have symptoms of depression compared to white students; while Black students were more than twice as likely.
