Feb 3rd "Race and the Economy"
(call at 1PM Pacific, 4PM Eastern)

The Applied Research is hosting a bi-weekly series of conference calls. Justice advocates on the Compact Forum calls will track the first 100 days of the Obama administration and shape plans to influence policy affecting racial justice. In addition to engaging featured speakers, participants will share progress on local, state and national efforts, and join a call to action on key issues. Interested individuals must RSVP.

Is the stimulus package a real solution or illusion? How can we tell? What can racial justice activists do to influence the public debate on the nation’s economy? Racial impact assessments: how they put justice into economic and social policies?

Andrea Batista Schlesinger, Exec. Dir. of the Drum Major Institute for Public Policy will present her analysis of the proposed federal stimulus package and its potential impact on communities of color.

Don't forget to RSVP
